July 19, 2018: Aerospace Facilities Group, Inc. was awarded the contract to design, fabricate, and install a new Abrasive Blast Facility for the US Navy at Mayport Florida. The Abrasive Blast Facility will consist of a new free-standing fully enclosed building, an Abrasive Blast Booth with our full floor recovery system, including our slide gate recovery system, dust collector, and our GEN-5 blast generator system. The facility will have tool air and breathing air systems installed.

March 30, 2018: Aerospace Facilities Group finishing up one of two 32-cartridge dust collectors for our CH-47 helicopter blast booth project. This one of the dust collectors to be installed on our manufactured abrasive blast booth. The photos show only the hoppers of the collectors. All of our equipment gets assembled in the shop prior to being shipped to ensure a clean installation in the field.
March 21, 2018: Aerospace Facilities Group is now using a new state of the art
coating process for all of our manufactured equipment installed outside in the elements.
The new coating process is AFG's own Thermal Tech Polymer that is 20 times
thicker than regular powder coating and is chemical and salt spray resistant.
The coating can be repaired if needed right in the field.
March 19, 2018: Aerospace Facilities Group was awarded the contract to modify the existing paint booth for the Navy at North Island San Diego. The existing paint booth does not meet South Coast AQMD rules and base environmental airflow regulations. AFG will be installing a new filter plenum, fan, and digital control panel to bring the paint booth up to current standards.
January 13, 2018: Aerospace Facilities Group is now utilizing state-of-the-art Flow Simulation software to aid in the design of their Abrasive Blast Booths, GEN-3 Abrasive Blast Cabinets, Paint Booths, Sanding Booth, Air Showers, Dust Collectors, and Blast Media Cyclone Separators.
This software allows us to accurately design our equipment to maximize the airflow and to assist the military bases hygienist, bio-environmental offices, and air quality in maintaining their safety standards and air quality permits.
